About Be the Light Tallow

Rooted in faith and based in Harrison County, Indiana my Christ-centered small business was born from a personal search for better skincare. After discovering the nourishing benefits of beef tallow, I've found the hydration and nutrients my skin couldn't get from commercial products. I render my tallow from high-quality suet sourced from my local butcher. The suet is first wet-rendered with salt and water to ensure purity, then carefully dry-rendered three to four times, depending on the batch. Throughout the process, I maintain temperatures below 210°F to preserve the tallow’s natural and beneficial nutrients. All rendering and product creation is done by hand in my small kitchen, with close attention to quality at every step.
